My mom passed away unexpectedly and unfortunately we did not have anything planned as to what funeral home except that she did want to be cremated. The hospital reported that Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives were popular. I went with my dad and the staff was very friendly. We selected the urn and extra vials for the ashes and paid. We were told it would be about 1 - 2 weeks which I believe is typical. We waited 3 weeks, still hadn't heard anything, so we called. We were told that by the end of the week they would be ready. No call so we waited until the following Monday, we called and were told they were waiting on the urn and they should be ready by the end of that week. Now it has been over a month for my mom's ashes! The end of that week, no call! My dad was finally able to pick up the ashes yesterday, 6/18, however they forgot the extra vials so my dad had to wait for them to do that which is super unfortunate. I had to fly back across the country last week after waiting for over a month, without the ashes, and so he had to do it alone! Rogue valley Funeral Alternatives were very kind and respectful when handling our grandmothers cremation. I would recommend them to any of my friends or family because I know that they do an amazing job.

With the loss of one of my best friends and parent I’ve struggled a lot in recent months. I’ve been thankful to have patient and friendly help with this process. I felt more at ease knowing my Dad has been kept safe and that his body was taken good care of. Our family worked with Jessica who was very patient with me while I worked through the legalities of loss as well as the mental toll my grief has taken. She was gentle and informative and didn’t pressure me to anything I wasn’t comfortable with as the person responsible for my Dads burial. I’m so greatful for the experience as I know not everyone is blessed with so much choice and a timeline that fits their budget and new life experience. Thankyou for taking the time to guide me and looking after my Dads body with such compassion.

I was worried that the process following the passing of my husband would be overwhelming RVFA made it all manageable. They were straight forward and Kind. I didn't feel burdened by alot of small details, but rather completely confident that all of the logistics were in capable hands and I felt at ease. The obituary page was also unexpected and valued. I can't thank the team there enough for treating my husband with such remarkable and thoughtful regard.

The staff are so professional and made the experience so easy. They understood what I wanted and took notes to follow my instructions. I checked out other mortuary business and found this to be the one I would use due to price and what I wanted.

Update 2/16/2026: I was contacted by Lewis the manager and he was sympathetic and understanding. I understand things can go wrong but he owned up to it and never made excuses. I appreciate that and I am pleased with the resolution. The person I worked with, Jessica, was pleasant. However I'm not pleased with the embalming job that was not done properly. My father was shipped home. Embalming was very necessary for travel. When he got to us it appeared that only his head was tended to. The rest of his body was badly decomposing. He needed to be wrapped in plastic under his clothes for his service as well as wear gloves to cover his hands. Thankfully the funeral home that received him at home did an excellent job on his preparations. For the amount that I paid to entrust that they would properly prepare him for travel, he should've arrived in MUCH better condition. This has been communicated to Rogue as well. Very dissatisfied!

Brie was absolutely amazing and beyond what I could ask for through such a hard time. she was very on top of communication, she went up and beyond for us and has the biggest heart. I can't thank you enough for everything you did. #1 place.

RVFA was wonderful to work with. They were calm and gentle in their approach to explaining things. They were so respectful and generous with their time and understanding of the situation when they came to pick up my husband‘s body. An all around positive experience in a tough time.
